Rachel Rawson Photography – Refund Policy

At Rachel Rawson Photography, we aim to provide a professional and high-quality photography service for all clients. This Refund Policy outlines the terms relating to cancellations, rescheduling, deposits, and refunds for photography services booked with us.

By booking a photography session or event with Rachel Rawson Photography, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Booking Fees and Deposits

A non-refundable booking fee or deposit may be required to secure your photography session or event date. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

This deposit covers administrative time, planning, scheduling, and the reservation of the agreed date and time.

 

2. Client Cancellations

Photography Sessions

If you wish to cancel a photography session, the following terms apply:

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled session may be eligible for a partial refund, excluding the non-refundable booking fee.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled session are non-refundable.

  • If payment has been made in full, any eligible refund will exclude the booking fee and any work already completed.

 

Weddings and Events

Due to the nature of event photography and the reservation of dates well in advance:

  • All booking fees and deposits for weddings and events are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the event may require full payment if preparation work has already been completed or the date cannot reasonably be rebooked.

3. Rescheduling

Requests to reschedule must be made as early as possible.

  • One reschedule may be permitted at our discretion, subject to availability.

  • In cases of illness, emergency, or adverse weather conditions affecting outdoor shoots, we will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the booking.

  • Rescheduled sessions must usually take place within 6 months of the original booking date.

 

4. Refunds for Services

Refunds will not normally be provided once:

  • A photography session or event has taken place

  • Digital images have been delivered

  • Editing or post-production work has begun

Photography is a creative service, and artistic style, editing choices, and composition are subjective. By booking with Rachel Rawson Photography, clients acknowledge they are familiar with the photographer’s style and portfolio.

 

5. Photographer Cancellation

In the unlikely event that Rachel Rawson Photography must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond reasonable control:

  • Clients will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of any monies paid.

  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for the photography services booked.

 

6. Consumer Rights

Nothing within this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
